Abstract  【Objective】 To explore the application effect of nasogastric nutrition support in mechanically ventilated patients. 【Methods】 From December 2020 to July 2022,50 patients receiving mechanical ventilation and requiring enteral nutrition support treatment in the emergency department of the Shandong Provincial Third Hospital were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table. The control group used Nasogastric intubation nutrition support, and the observation group used nasenteral canal nutrition support, with 25 cases in each group. The levels of total protein (TP),albumin (ALB),hemoglobin (Hb),white blood cell count (WBC),C-reaction protein (CRP),procalcitonin (PCT) and the incidence of adverse reactions within 7 days were compared between the two groups before and 7 days after catheterization. 【Results】 Before catheterization, there was no statistically significant difference in serum TP,ALB,Hb,WBC,CRP,and PCT levels between the two groups of patients (all P>0.05); After 7 days of catheterization, the serum levels of TP,ALB,and Hb in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, while the levels of WBC,CRP,and PCT were lower than those in the control group (all P<0.05). Within 7 days of catheterization, the incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 4.00%,significantly lower than the 24.00% in the control group (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】 The application of nasenteral tube nutrition support in mechanically ventilated patients can significantly improve their nutritional status, reduce the levels of inflammatory factors, and reduce the incidence of adverse reactions during intubation, which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
