Abstract 【Objective】 To summarize the therapeutic effect of ametropic amblyopia in children and explore the related factors affecting the therapeutic effect of ametropic amblyopia in children. 【Methods】 A total of 208 children with ametropic amblyopia who were admitted to the Department of Ophthalmology of Hunan Children's Hospital from March 2019 to March 2021 were enrolled, and their age, gender, amblyopia degree, refractive nature and vision recovery with different treatment methods were collected. According to age, sex, refractive property, amblyopia degree and treatment methods, the relevant factors of efficacy were statistically analyzed. 【Results】 The overall effective rate of the 386 eyes in 208 children was 89.64% (346/386). The total effective rate of treatment in the 3~5 year-old group of children was 97.95%, higher than that 85.37% of the 6~8 year-old group and 73.53% of the 9~12 year-old group. The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The total effective rate of treatment in male children was 89.32%,while 90.13% wasin women children; There was no statistically significant difference (P>0.05). The total effective rate of children with hyperopia treatment was 95.09%, which was significantly higher than of children with mixed astigmatism (89.13%) and children with myopic children (79.31%). The differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The treatment effective rate in children with mild amblyopia was 96.05%, which was also significantly higher than in children with moderate amblyopia (90.22%) and in children with severe amblyopia (68.00%); And the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The total effective rate was 94.57% for children with ametropia error who received comprehensive treatment, which was significantly higher than 77.27% for children who received regular refractive correction. The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】 The therapeutic effect of ametropic amblyopia in children is closely related to various factors such as age, refractive properties, degree of amblyopia, training methods and different treatments. Clinically, symptomatic treatment should be adopted as early as possible according to the specific conditions of children to improve the therapeutic effect.
