Diagnostic Value of Circulating Exosome miR-151-5p in Early Gastric Cancer |

Abstract 【Objective】To investigate the expression of circulating exosome microrna-151-5p (miR-151-5p) in serum of patients with early gastric cancer and its diagnostic value.【Methods】A total of 40 patients with early gastric cancer,43 hospitalized patients with benign gastric diseases and healthy persons undergoing routine examination in the gastrointestinal outpatient department were selected as the gastric cancer group,benign group and control group respectively. The expression level of miR-151-5p in serum circulating exosomes was detected by real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR (qRT-PCR),and the relationship between miR-151-5p and clinicopathological features of early gastric cancer was analyzed. The diagnostic value of miR-151-5p in early gastric cancer was evaluated by object operating characteristic curve (ROC). 【Results】The expression of miR-151-5p in serum of the gastric cancer group and the benign group was higher than that of the control group,and that of the gastric cancer group was higher than that of the benign group (P<0.001). The expression of miR-151-5p in circulating exosomes was correlated with the pathological type and differentiation degree of early gastric cancer (P<0.05). The area under the curve of circulating exosome miR-151-5p for the diagnosis of early gastric cancer was 0.808. When the optimal cutoff value was 1.848,the sensitivity and specificity were 90.0% and 57.4% respectively. 【Conclusion】 The expression of miR-151-5p in the serum of patients with early gastric cancer is significantly increased,which has certain potential value in the diagnosis and evaluation of early gastric cancer.
