Effects of Arthroscopic Meningoplasty Combined with Sodium Hyaluronate Injection on Curative Efficacy, Pain Degree and Knee Range of Motion in Patients with Meniscus Injury |

Abstract 【Objective】To explore the effect of arthroscopic meningoplasty combined with sodium hyaluronate injection on the curative efficacy, degree of pain and range of motion of knee joint in patients with meniscus injury. 【Methods】 A total of 94 patients with meniscus injury treated in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Medical College from May 2017 to June 2020 were randomly divided into observation group (treated with arthroscopic meningoplasty combined with sodium hyaluronate injection, 2.5 ml sodium hyaluronate intra-articular injection immediately after surgery, once a week for 4 weeks) and control group (treated with arthroscopic meningoplasty), with 47 cases in each group. The clinical efficacy, degree of pain, range of motion of knee joint and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. 【Results】The excellent and good rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group (93.62% vs 78.72%). Four weeks after operation, the levels of inflammatory factors in knee joint fluid of the two groups decreased significantly compared with those before operation, and the levels of interleukin-6 (IL-6) and interleukin-1β (IL-1 β),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) and VAS score in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the scores of knee activity and knee function were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of complications between the two groups (4.26% vs 2.13%) (P>0.05). 【Conclusion】 The combination of arthroscopic meningoplasty and sodium hyaluronate injection is effective in the treatment of meniscus injury, which can effectively reduce inflammation and pain and promote the recovery of knee function.
