Serum HDAC2 and IL-17A Levels in Patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and Their Clinical Significance |

Abstract 【Objective】 To investigate the levels of histone deacetylase (HDAC2) and interleukin-17A (IL-17A) in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and to analyze the clinical significance. 【Methods】 Patients with COPD who were treated in our hospital from August 2017 to May 2018 were selected as the study subjects (COPD group,n=40), and healthy adults who received physical examination in the same period were selected as the control group (n=40). The levels of HDAC2, IL-17A, pulmonary function and blood gas were compared between the two groups, and the correlation of the levels of HDAC2 and IL-17A with pulmonary function and blood gas was analyzed. 【Results】 The levels of HDAC 2,pH and arterial partial pressure of oxygen (PaO2) in the COPD group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05), and the levels of IL-17A and arterial partial pressure of carbon dioxide (PaCO2) were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). The forced vital capacity (FVC), FEV1/FVC, maximum expiratory mid-flow (MMEF) and maximum expiratory flow (PEF) were significantly lower in the COPD group than in the control group (P<0.05). The level of HDAC2 in COPD patients was negatively correlated with PaCO2, and positively correlated with FEV1/FVC, FVC, MMEF, PEF, PH and PaO2 levels. The level of IL-17A was positively correlated with PaCO2 level, and negatively correlated with FEV1/FVC, FVC, MMEF, PEF, PH and PaO2 levels. 【Conclusion】 The level of HDAC2 is lower and level of IL-17A is higher in COPD patients. They are closely related to lung function and blood gas index.
