Abstract:【Objective】 To investigate the efficacy of bronchial artery chemoembolization (BACE) combined with 125I seed implantation in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). 【Methods】 A total of 82 NSCLC patients were randomly divided into a control group (gemcitabine plus cisplatin chemotherapy) and an observation group (BACE combined with 125I seed implantation), with 41 cases in each group. Clinical efficacy, tumor diameter, pulmonary function indices, cancer pain scores, frailty scores, and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. 【Results】 The clinical response rate in the observation group (80.49%) was higher than that in the control group (51.22%) (P<0.05). After treatment, tumor diameter, cancer pain scores, and frailty scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). Forced vital capacity, forced expiratory volume in 1 second, and maximal voluntary ventilation were all higher in the observation group than in the control group (P<0.05). The incidences of nausea, vomiting, alopecia, and grade Ⅰ-Ⅳ myelosuppression in the observation group were lower those in the group group (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】 BACE combined with 125I seed implantation can significantly improve the clinical efficacy in NSCLC patients, reduce tumor size, improve pulmonary function, alleviate cancer pain and frailty, and reduce adverse reactions.
