Abstract:【Objective】 To explore the application effect of modified prone position in patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).【Methods】 A total of 82 ARDS patients admitted to our hospital from June 2022 to January 2024 were selected and divided into a control group (given traditional prone position intervention) and an observation group (given modified prone position intervention) according to the time of admission, with 41 cases in each group. The respiratory mechanics indexes [chest wall compliance (Ccw), airway resistance (R)], hemodynamic indexes [mean arterial pressure (MAP), central venous pressure (CVP), heart rate (HR)], Murray Lung Injury Score, Marshall Multiple Organ Dysfunction Score, incidence of pressure injury, psychological status [Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAMA) score and Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD) score], and nursing quality score were compared between the two groups. 【Results】 After intervention, there were no significant differences in R, MAP, CVP and HR between the two groups (P>0.05); the Ccw of the observation group was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05); the Murray score, Marshall score, HAMA score, HAMD score and incidence of pressure injury in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05); all nursing quality scores in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】 The application of modified prone position intervention in ARDS patients can improve the Ccw of patients, alleviate lung injury and multiple organ dysfunction, relieve anxiety and depression, reduce the incidence of pressure injury, and improve the overall intervention quality.
