Abstract:【Objective】To compare the effects of different restoration materials on inflammation and osteoclastic cytokines in gingival sulcus fluid (GCF) in patients with anterior tooth porcelain fused metal (PFM) full crown restoration. 【Methods】A total of 180 patients with anterior tooth PFM restoration admitted to the Second Affiliated Hospital of Shaanxi University of Chinese Medicine from June 2019 to June 2022 were randomly divided into three groups:Group A(n=60),Group B(n=60),and Group C(n=60). Group A was remediated using nickel-chromium materials,Group B was remediated using cobalt-chromium materials, and Group C was remediated using gold deposited materials. The gum condition,GCF inflammatory factor level,GCF osteoclastic regulator level and restoration integrity rate before and after repair were compared between the three groups. 【Results】After restoration, the GCF volume and gingival groove exploration depth (GCD) were higher than those before restoration, while the gingival index (GI) was lower than that before restoration (P<0.05). After restoration, the above indexes in group A were higher than those in groups B and C (P<0.05),but there was no significant difference between group B and group C (P>0.05). Levels of inflammatory factors in GCF of the three groups after restoration were higher than those before restoration (P<0.05); And the GCF inflammatory factor levels in group A after restoration were higher than those in groups B and C (P<0.05),but the comparison between group B and group C was not significant (P>0.05). The levels of RANKL (receptor activator of nuclear factor κB ligand) and RANKL/OPG (osteoprotegerin) in the three groups after restoration were higher than those before restoration, while the OPG was lower than that before restoration (P<0.05).After restoration, the nuclear factor κB receptor activating factor ligand (RANKL) and RANKL/osteoprotectin (OPG) in group A were higher than those in groups B and C,and its OPG was lower than that in the group B and group C (P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference of OPG between the two groups of B and C (P>0.05). The restoration integrity rate among the three groups did not show significant differences (P>0.05). 【Conclusion】Compared with nickel-chromium alloy,cobalt-chromium alloy and gold deposition in PFM restoration have significantly lower levels of inflammatory factors, less influence on osteoclasts, and higher biocompatibility and stability of restored teeth.
