Effect of Tooth Extraction Site Preservation Technique Based on Bio-Oss Geistlich on the Short-term Aesthetic Effect and Prognosis of Anterior Dental Implant Patients

Abstract:【Objective】To explore the effect of tooth extraction site preservation technique based on bio-oss Geistlich on the short-term aesthetic effect and prognosis of patients with anterior dental implantation so as to provide certain theoretical reference for clinical practice. 【Methods】A total of 90 patients with anterior dental implantation admitted to our hospital from July 2018 to June 2019 were selected as study subjects. According to the patient's wishes, they were divided into the control group and the observation group with 45 cases each. The control group was treated with conventional tooth extraction and oral implant therapy, while the observation group was treated with bio-oss Geistlich based tooth extraction site preservation technique and oral implant therapy. Alveolar bone height, width, bone density, short-term aesthetic effect, and prognosis were compared between the two groups. 【Results】Before treatment, there was no significant difference in alveolar bone height, width or bone density between the two groups(P>0.05). After treatment, alveolar bone height, width and bone density in both groups decreased compared to before treatment, but the difference between the observation group and the control group was statistically significant(P<0.05). The soft tissue color, soft tissue attachment height, and aesthetic effect score of front row dentition in the observation group were higher than those in the control group with statistical significance(P<0.05). The rates of gingival redness and swelling, alveolar bone resorption and implant loosening in the observation group were 8.89%, 6.67% and 2.22%, respectively, which were significantly lower than those in the control group(24.44%, 22.22% and 13.33%, respectively) with statistically significant differences(P<0.05). 【Conclusion】The application of tooth extraction site preservation technique based on bio-oss Geistlich can improve the short-term aesthetic effect and prognosis of patients with anterior dental implantation, which is worthy of promotion.
