Clinical Efficacy of Platelet-Rich Plasma Combined with Closed Reduction and Cannulated Screw Internal Fixation in the Treatment of Femoral Neck Fractures

Abstract:【Objective】 To explore the clinical efficacy of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) combined with closed reduction and cannulated screw internal fixation in the treatment of patients with femoral neck fractures. 【Methods】 A retrospective analysis was performed on 96 patients with femoral neck fractures admitted to Punan Hospital of Pudong New Area from April 2021 to April 2024. The patients were divided into the observation group and the control group according to different treatment methods, with 48 cases in each group. The control group was treated with simple closed reduction and cannulated screw internal fixation, while the observation group received additional PRP treatment on the basis of the control group. The operation-related indicators, hip joint function (Harris Hip Score), excellent and good rate of hip joint function, and incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. 【Results】 The fracture healing time and hospital stay in the observation group were significantly shorter than those in the control group (P<0.05). At 6 and 12 months after surgery, the Harris scores and the excellent and good rate of hip joint function of the observation group were higher than those of the control group (P<0.05). The total incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】 PRP combined with closed reduction and cannulated screw internal fixation has definite curative effect in the treatment of femoral neck fractures, which can promote fracture healing, improve hip joint function and reduce the incidence of complications.
