Abstract:【Objective】 To explore the nutritional status and influencing factors of malnutrition in hospitalized elderly patients with mental disorders.【Methods】 A total of 397 hospitalized elderly patients with mental disorders admitted to our hospital from January 2018 to December 2021 were selected. They were divided into malnutrition group (n=63) and malnutrition group (n=334) using the Nutrition Risk Screening 2002 (NRS 2002) scale. We collected clinical data from two groups of patients and analyzed the influencing factors of malnutrition in elderly hospitalized psychiatric patients using a logistic multiple regression model.【Results】 The swallowing function, nutritional support, SDS score, SAS score, PANSS score of the malnutrition group were compared with those of the malnutrition group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Logistic regression analysis showed that swallowing dysfunction, lack of nutritional support, SDS score>41.84, SAS score>42.41, and PANSS score>57.92 were risk factors for malnutrition in elderly hospitalized psychiatric patients. 【Conclusion】 Elderly hospitalized psychiatric patients have a higher risk of malnutrition, with swallowing function, nutritional support, SDS score, SAS score, and PANSS score as influencing factors. Clinicians can develop targeted treatment plans based on this to further improve patient prognosis.
