| Effects of Fufang Xueshuantong Dripping Pills on Serum VEGF and Ocular Hemodynamic Indexes in Patients with Retinal Vein Obstruction |

Abstract 【Objective】To investigate the effects of fufang xueshuantong dripping pills on serum vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and ocular hemodynamics in patients with retinal vein obstruction. 【Methods】 A total of 80 patients with retinal vein obstruction admitted to Chenggu County Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Shaanxi Province from January 2019 to March 2022 were selected and divided into the control group (receiving conventional drug treatment) and the observation group (adding fufang xueshuantong dripping pill to the control group) by random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. After treatment, Chinese medicine symptom score, VEGF level, endothelin-1 (ET-1) level, nitric oxide (NO) level, peak systolic blood velocity (PSV), end-diastolic blood velocity (EDV) and resistance index (RI) were compared between the two groups.【Results】The effective rate of the observation group was 95.00%, which was significantly higher than that of the control group 80.00% (P<0.05). After treatment, the visual acuity drop, chest and hypochthonic distension and eye distension scores in the observation group were lower than those before and after treatment in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of VEGF and ET-1 in the observation group were significantly lower than before treatment and after treatment in the control group, and NO was higher than before treatment and after treatment in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, RI in the observation group was significantly lower than before treatment and after treatment in the control group, PSV and EDV were significantly higher than before treatment and after treatment in the control group (P<0.05).【Conclusion】The Xueshuantong dripping pill has a significant effect in the treatment of patients with retinal vein obstruction, which can significantly improve the TCM symptom score and eye hemodynamic index, and reduce the levels of VEGF and ET-1.
