Effects of Levothyroxine Sodium on Thyroid Hormone, anti-TG and TSHR-Ab Levels in Children with Hypothyroidism |

Abstract 【Objective】To investigate the efficacy of levothyroxine sodium in the treatment of children with hypothyroidism (hypothyroidism) and its influence on the levels of thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), anti-thyroglobulin antibody (anti-TG) and thyroid stimulating hormone receptor antibody (TSHR-Ab). 【Methods】A total of 160 children with hypothyroidism admitted to our hospital from April 2023 to April 2024 were randomly divided into the control group (treated with thyroid tablets) and the observation group (treated with levothyroxine sodium) according to the random drawing method, with 80 cases in each group. Both groups were given continuous medication for 6 months. The clinical efficacy, occurrence of adverse reactions and levels of TSH, anti-TG, TSHR-Ab, free triiodothyronine (FT3) and free thyroxine (FT4) were compared between the two groups. 【Results】After 6 months of treatment, the total clinical effective rate of the observation group was 95.00%, which was significantly higher than that of control group (83.75%), and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). After 6 months of treatment, the levels of TSH, anti-TG and TSHR-Ab were lower than before treatment, while FT3 and FT4 levels were higher than before treatment (P<0.05). Six months after treatment, the levels of TSH, anti-TG and TSHR-Ab in the observation group were lower than those in control group, while FT3 and FT4 levels were higher than those in control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】The use of levothyroxine sodium in the treatment of hypothyroidism in children can effectively improve the clinical efficacy, improve the level of TSH, anti-TG, TSR-Ab and other indicators, and has a good safety.
