Abstract  【Objective】 To analyze the difference of uterine dynamic contrast-enhanced 1.5 T magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) results between postmenopausal and premenopausal women. 【Methods】 A total of 83 postmenopausal patients scheduled for pelvic dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI in Xingyuan Hospital of Yulin City from January 2017 to January 2019 were selected as the observation group, while 83 premenopausal women who were admitted for physical examination at the same time were selected as the control group. The basic parameters of uterus (junction zone thickness, width diameter, length diameter, height diameter, myometrium thickness, endometrial thickness),dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI quantitative parameters (volume transport constant, rate transport constant, volume fraction) and signal intensity of uterine myometrium T2 weighted image (T2WI) were recorded. 【Results】 There was no significant difference in the thickness of uterine junction zone between the two groups (P>0.05),while the width diameter, length diameter and height diameter of uterus in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05),and the thickness of extrauterine muscle layer and endometrial layer were significantly higher than those of the control group (P<0.05).There were no significant differences in terms of the signal intensity of T2WI in the middle part of myometrium, volume transport constant and rate transport constant at the junction of uterus, and endometrial volume fraction between the two groups (P>0.05). The signal intensity of T2WI in the medial and lateral parts of myometrium in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P>0.05) and the volume fraction of myometrium in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). The volume transport constant, rate transport constant and volume fraction in the endometrium were significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】 Dynamic contrast-enhanced 1.5 T MRI can clearly observe the differences of uterine morphology and structure between postmenopausal and premenopausal women, such as postmenopausal uterine atrophy, endometrial thickening, myometrium thickening, which may provide helpful info for clinicians.
