| Effect of Buyang Huanwu Decoction Combined with Butylphthalide on Neurological Function and Prognosis of Patients with Ischemic Stroke |

Abstract 【Objective】To investigate the effects of Buyang Huanwu Decoction combined with butylphthalide on neurological function and prognosis in patients with ischemic stroke. 【Methods】A total of 110 patients with ischemic stroke in our hospital from March 2017 to February 2019 were selected and randomly divided into observation group and control group, 55 cases in each group. The control group was treated with butylphthalide, and the observation group was treated with Buyang Huanwu Decoction on the basis of the control group. The clinical efficacy, neurological function, prognosis and adverse reactions of the two groups were observed. 【Results】The total effective rate of the observation group was 92.73% (51/55), which was significantly higher than 74.55% (41/55) of the control group (χ2=6.6425, P<0.05). After treatment, NIHSS and MRS scores of the two groups were significantly decreased, and the observation group was significantly lower than the control group (P<0.05); the Scandinavian Stroke Scale (SSS) scores of the two groups were significantly increased, and the observation group was higher than the control group (P<0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 3.64% (2/55), while that in the control group was 14.54% (8/55), the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】Buyang Huanwu Decoction Combined with butylphthalide in the treatment of ischemic stroke can significantly improve the neurological function of patients with good prognosis, less adverse reactions, safe and effective, which is worthy of clinical application.
