Effect of Glucocorticoid Combined with Different Doses of Human Immunoglobulin on Serum TNF-α, IL-6 and CRP in Patients with Severe Drug Eruption |

Abstract 【Objective】 To investigate the effect of glucocorticoid combined with different doses of human immunoglobulin on serum tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α), interleukin-6 (IL-6) and C-reactive protein (CRP) in patients with severe drug eruption.【Methods】 Eighty-six patients with severe drug eruption were randomly divided into group A (n=30), group B (n=30) and group C (n=26). Group A was treated with glucocorticoid and medium dose human immunoglobulin, group B with glucocorticoid and high dose human immunoglobulin, and group C with glucocorticoid. Five days after the treatment, the clinical efficacy, serum TNF -α, IL-6, CRP levels of the two groups were compared. 【Results】 After treatment, the total effective rate of the group A was 93.33% (28/30), significantly higher than that of the group B and group C [76.67% (23/30) and 57.69% (15/26)], and the difference was significant (P<0.05); the total effective rate of the group B was higher than that of the group C, and the difference was significant (P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference in serum TNF-α, IL-6 and CRP levels among the three groups (P>0.05); after treatment, TNF-α, IL-6 and CRP levels were significantly lower than before treatment (P<0.05), and TNF-α, IL-6 and CRP levels in the group A were lower than those in the group B and C, while those in the group B were lower than those in the group C, and the difference was significant (P<0.05). After treatment, the antipyretic time, rash regression time and hospitalization time in the group A were significantly lower than those in the group B and C (P<0.05), while those in the group B were lower than those in the group C (P<0.05).【Conclusion】 The medium dose of human immunoglobulin combined with glucocorticoid can improve the levels of TNF-α, IL-6 and CRP in patients with severe drug eruption.
