Abstract  【Objective】To investigate the clinical effects of risperidone combined with aripiprazole in patients with chronic schizophrenia and its effects on cognitive function and social function. 【Methods】Fifty-four patients with chronic schizophrenia admitted to our hospital from June 2016 to May 2018 were divided into observation group (risperidone + aripiprazole) and control group (risperidone), 27 cases in each group. After 3 months of treatment, the cognitive function, social function and drug safety were compared between the two groups. 【Results】3 months after treatment, the scores of recognition, picture, association and back memory in Wechner memory scale (WMS) in the two groups were higher than those before treatment, and the scores in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Three months after treatment, the scores of occupational function, parental intelligence, marriage intelligence, family activity, social withdrawal, self-care, responsibility, care and family intelligence in the social defect screening scale (SDSS) of the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and the observation group was lower than the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of blood pressure decrease, lethargy, abnormal electrocardiogram, nausea, vomiting and extrapyramidal reaction between the two groups (P>0.05).【Conclusion】Risperidone combined with aripiprazole in the treatment of chronic schizophrenia can effectively improve the cognitive and social functions of patients with less adverse drug reactions, which is worthy of promotion and application.
