Diagnostic Values of DNA Ploidy Detection in Pancreatic Space-occupying Lesions |

Abstract 【Objective】To explore the diagnostic values of DNA ploidy analysis in pancreatic space-occupying lesions. 【Methods】 A total of 148 patients with pancreatic space-occupying lesions from the Third Xiangya Hospital, Central South University were collected. EUS-FNA (ultrasound endoscopically guided final needle aspiration) were performed in all cases. DNA ploidy analysis system was used to analyze DNA content in nucleus. 【Results】EUS-FNA was successfully performed and adequate specimen for cytological diagnosis were obtained in 148 patients.Results showed that 64 patients with non-neoplastic lesion of the pancreas had no DNA ploidy abnormal cells and out of the 84 patients with pancreatic neoplastic lesions, 79 cases were found with DNA ploidy abnormal cells.The aneuploidy positive rate was (94.0%(79/84))in 84 pancreatic neoplastic lesion, which was significantly higher than non-neoplastic lesion of pancreas 0.0% (0/64). The difference was statistically significant between the two groups(P<0.05). 【Conclusion】DNA ploidy analysis can improve the positive detection rate of pancreatic space-occupying lesions. It has clinical guidance for the diagnosis of patients with pancreatic space-occupying lesions.
