Abstract  【Objective】 To investigate the relationship between serum levels of human chondroprotein 39 (YKL-40),homocysteine (Hcy) and the occurrence of major cardiovascular events (MACE) after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in patients with coronary heart disease (CHD).【Methods】 The clinical data of 104 patients with CHD treated with PCI from March 2015 to April 2012 were selected. According to the results of 12 months follow-up, they were divided into two groups: the observation group (MACE event,n=34) and the control group (no MACE event,n=70). The general data of the two groups were collected and the serum YKL-40,Hcy levels were measured before and after PCI operation. Multivariate Logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the risk factors of MACE.【Results】 There was no significant difference in age, sex, BMI, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, smoking, alcohol consumption and CHD family history between the two groups (P>0.05). Compared with the control group, the number of stent implantation in the observation group was significantly different from that in the control group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in serum YKL-40,Hcy levels between the two groups before operation (P>0.05). The serum YKL-40,Hcy level in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group at 24 hours after operation (P<0.05). The serum YKL-40,Hcy level was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05), and the number of stents implanted was more than 2. Diabetes mellitus was a risk factor for MACE events after PCI in patients with CHD (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】 The high- level expression of serum YKL-40,Hcy and the increase of serum YKL-40,Hcy, the number of stents>2 and diabetes mellitus are the risk factors of MACE after PCI in CHD patients.
