Clinical Effect and Influence of Lock Plate and Anatomical Plate Fixation on Ankle Function in the Treatment of Pilon Fracture |

Abstract 【Objective】To compare the clinical effect of lock plate and anatomical plate fixation in the treatment of Pilon fracture, and to analyze its influence on ankle function. 【Methods】A total of 80 patients with Pilon fracture were selected as study subjects. They were divided into the control group and the observation group, with 40 cases in each group. All patients underwent open reduction and internal fixation. The control group was subjected to anatomic plate fixation, while the observation group received lock plate fixation. The surgical indicators, the incidence of complications, clinical curative effect and ankle joint function related index before and after the treatment of two groups were compared. 【Results】The operation time, intraoperative blood loss, healing time and length of hospital stay in the observation group were less than those in the control group; the differences were statistically significant(P< 0.05).The postoperative complication rate of the observation group was obviously less than that of the control group; the difference was statistically significant(P< 0.05). The total effective rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group with statistical significance (P< 0.05).The different values of ankle height, width and depth of patients in the two groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment. In addition, these ankle joint function indicators in the observation group after treatment were significantly less than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P< 0.05). 【Conclusion】Compared to anatomic plate fixation, lock plate internal fixation in the treatment of Pilon fracture is less traumatic to the body, causes fewer postoperative complications, has better efficacy, results in better recovery of ankle joint function, and is worthy of clinical application.
