Clinical Observation of Guanxin Tongluo Decoction in the Treatment of Senile Acute Myocardial Infarction |

Abstract 【Objective】 To investigate the clinical effect of Guanxin Tongluo recipe in the treatment of senile acute myocardial infarction (AMI). 【Methods】The clinical data of 62 elderly patients with AMI were collected from June 2015 to May 2017. According to the random number table method, they were divided into observation group and control group with 31 cases in each group. The control group was treated with clopidogrel orally on the basis of routine treatment, while the observation group was treated with Guanxin Tongluo decoction on the basis of routine treatment. The clinical efficacy and the level of growth differentiation factor-15 (GDF-15) were observed and recorded in both groups. Left ventricular end-diastolic volume (LVEDV), left ventricular end-systolic volume (LVESV), (SV), effective cardiac output (CO), cardiac index (CI) and left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) were measured by color ultrasound. 【Results】 After treatment, the total effective rate in the observation group was 96.77% (30/31), which was significantly higher than that in the control group (61.29%) (19/31), and the difference was statistically significant (χ2=3.757) (P< 0.05). After treatment, the level of LVEDVV/LVESV in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P< 0.05), SV and LVEF levels were significantly higher than those in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (mean P < 0.05), and there was no significant difference in the levels of CO and CI between the two groups ( P > 0.05). After treatment, the serum GDF-15 level in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group [(873.68± 88.62)g/L vs (1037.25± 97.38) g/L]( P < 0.05). 【Conclusion】The application of Guanxin Tongluo recipe in the treatment of elderly patients with AMI can significantly reduce the level of serum GDF-15 and improve the ventricular remodeling and cardiac function of the patients.
