| Effect of Paclitaxel Cisplatin Chemotherapy Combined with Three-dimensional Conformal Radiotherapy on Postoperative Recurrence and Metastasis in Patients with Cervical Cancer undergoing Radical Resection |

Abstract 【Objective】To investigate the effect of paclitaxel (PTX) and cisplatin (DDP) (TP) combined with concurrent three dimensional conformal radiation therapy(3D-CRT) on recurrence and metastasis in patients with cervical cancer after radical hysterectomy. 【Methods】Eighty-four cases of patients with cervical cancer were retrospectively analyzed. Both groups were treated by radical hysterectomy for cervical cancer. After operation, 40 cases undergoing concurrent radiochemotherapy were included into group A, while 44 cases undergoing radiotherapy alone were divided into group B. The A group was treated with TP chemotherapy and 3D-CRT , while the group B was treated with 3D-CRT . The curative effect and incidence of side effects were compared between the two groups. And the recurrence rate, metastasis rate and survival rate were statistically analyzed. 【Results】The complete remission rate and the objective effective rate in the group A (30% and 82.50%) were significantly higher than those in the group B (11.36% and 61.36%) (P< 0.05). the incidence rates of different grades of gastrointestinal reactions, bone marrow suppression, radiation cystitis and grade Ⅰ~Ⅱ platelet count decline in the group A were slightly higher than those in the group B ( P > 0.05). The recurrence rates and metastasis rates in the group A were slightly lower than those in the group B 2 years and 3 years after operation ( P > 0.05). The 3-year survival rate and the total survival time of the group A were higher or longer than those of the group B ( P < 0.05). 【Conclusion】 TP chemotherapy with concurrent 3D-CRT can improve the effect of tumor control and prolong the survival time of patients.
