Clinical Effect of Endovascular Interventional Therapy on Patients with Intra - cerebral Artery Bifurcation Aneurysms |

Abstract 【Objective】To investigate the clinical effect of intravascular interventional therapy on patients with intra - cerebral artery bifurcation aneurysms .【Methods】From January 2014 to December 2016, 72 patients with aneurysm of middle cerebral artery bifurcation in our hospital were divided into observation group and control group according to the different treatment methods, 36 cases in each group. The patients in the observation group were treated with endovascular treatment. The control group was treated with craniotomy. The clinical efficacy and complications of the two groups were observed. The operative time, hospital stay, and the recurrence and neurological deficit of the two groups were compared after 6 months. 【Results】The proportion of patients with good prognosis in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group, and the proportion of the poor prognosis in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05), but there was no significant difference in the mortality between the two groups (P>0.05). The operation time and hospitalization time in the observation group were all smaller than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The incidence of postoperative complications in the observation group (11.11%(4/36) was significantly lower than that in the control group 32.35%(11/36) (P<0.05), and there was no significant difference between the two groups in terms of postoperative recurrence after 6 months follow-up(5.56% vs 2.78%,χ2=0.411,P=0.522>0.05). 【Conclusion】Endovascular interventional therapy has the advantages of short operation time, less complications, quick postoperative recovery, significant curative effect and low recurrence rate. It is a safe and feasible method for the treatment of middle cerebral artery bifurcation aneurysms.
