| Effect of Maixuekang Capsules on Quality of Life in Patients with Subacute Cerebral Infarction |

Abstract 【Objective】T o observe the effect of Maixuekang capsules on quality of life of patients with subacute cerebral infarction.【Methods】Sixty patients with subacute cerebral infarction from January 2015 to January 2016 in our hospital were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group, 30 cases in each group. The control group received conventional treatment such as simvastatin and aspirin, the treatment group received Maixuekang capsule additionally. All were treated for 15 days.The Barthel index (BI) and the modified Rankin scale (mRS) were used to evaluate the daily living ability, prognosis and functional disability of the two groups before and after treatment. The life quality of two groups before and after treatment was evaluated by SS-QOL and SF-36 Health Survey (SF-36).【Results】Before treatment, there was no significant difference between the two groups in BI, mRS score, SS-QOL scale and SF-36 scale score (P＞0.05). After 15d treatment, BI, mRS score, SS-QOL scale and SF-36 scale score of the two groups were better than those before treatment. In the observation group, the BI, mRS score, the SS-QOL scale items like physical activities, language ability, self-care, upper limb function and the SF-36 scores like physiological function, body pain, general health, vitality were improved significantly, the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05).【Conclusion】Maixuekang capsule can significantly improve the quality of life of patients with subacute cerebral infarction, and is worthy of clinical application.
