Abstract 【Objective】To analysis of radiofrequency ablation in the treatment of locally-advanced pancreatic carcinoma. 【Methods】We retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of 123 patients with locally-advanced pancreatic carcinoma. All the patients were divided into a radiofrequency group and a control group according to the radiofrequency ablation surgery. And then the perioperative and prognosis data of the two groups were analyzed and compared. 【Results】In our research, all patients were successfully completed surgery and there were no cases of perioperative death. The incidence of postoperative complications of radiofrequency group was 21.7% (control group rate 10.38%) and the incidence of pancreatic fistula was 6.5% (control group rate 1.3%). There were no statistical differences between the two groups. The 6 months, 1 year and 2 years survival rates of radiofrequency group and control group were 82.4%, 43.5%, 7.6% and 55.8%, 28%, 0%, the average survival time were 13.5±0.8 months and 9.1±0.3 months. The prognosis of radiofrequency group was significantly better than that of the control group (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】Radiofrequency ablation surgery is safe and effective in the treatment of locally-advanced pancreatic carcinoma.
