| Impact of the Endoscopic Injection of Tissue Glue for Gastric Varices Bleeding on Portal Hypertensive Gastropathy |

Abstract 【Objective】 To study the impact of the endoscopic injection of tissue glue for gastric varices bleeding on portal hypertensive gastropathy (PHG) .【Methods】The clinical data of 30 patients from January 2008 to April 2012 were retrospectively analyzed. The patients were treated with endoscopic injection of tissue glue for gastric varices bleeding (Group A).Compared with other 30 patients (B Group) with gastric varices bleeding treated by conventional drug, the incidence of severe PHG was observed after 6 months.【Results】The incidence of severe PHG of the Group A was 63.33% (19/30) 6 months after treatment, which was significantly higher than that in the Group B (10/30) 30.33% , and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).【Conclusion】Endoscopic injection of tissue glue for gastric varices bleeding may lead to a significant severity of illness on PHG.
