Abstract 【Objective】To investigate the correlation between the level of serum pre albumin (PAB) and the degree of coronary artery disease in patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI).【Methods】One hundred and ninetyfour cases of acute myocardial infarction patients treated in our hospital from June 2012 to June 2015 as were selected as observation group, and 58 cases of health persons with routine checkup in hospital without cardiovascular disease in same period as control group. The levels of serum PAB were observed in two groups of patients with different degree of vascular disease, and the correlation between serum PAB level and AMI coronary artery disease was analyzed.【Results】Compared with control group, the PAB level of patients in observation group on admission was significantly decreased, and GRACE score was increased significantly, the comparison between groups were statistically significant (P<0.05). Depending on the different degree of pathological changes, the PAB level in the observation groups presented that the single coronary artery lesion group > the double coronary artery lesions group > the triple coronary artery lesions group, the comparison between the groups was statistically significant (P<0.05) . 136 cases of cardiovascular events occured in the observation group, and compared patients without cardiovascular events the PAB level was higher, and GRACE score was lower, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The spearman correlation analysis showed that PAB level had a negative correlation with the degree of the AMI lesions (r=0.202,P<0.05) , the GRACE risk score (r=0.236,P<0.05) and the incidence of cardiovascular events (r=-0.211,P<0.05). 【Conclusion】 The serum prealbumin level of patients with acute myocardial infarction was related with pathological degree and prognosis , so it can be used as a reference index of early diagnosis and treatment, and prognosis judgment.
