Abstract 【Objective】 To investigate diagnostic value of threedimension Fast spoiled gradient sequence(3DFSPGR) at evaluating cartilage injury of knee by comparing with the conventional MRI. 【Methods】 A total of 45 patients with knee pain were treated in our hospital, who underwent 3DFSPGR and the conventional 2D sequences at 3.0 T. Through analyzing these images, the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy were evaluated by comparing 3DFSPGR with the conventional 2D sequence demonstrating degree of joint cartilage injury with the knee arthroscopy results as the gold standard. 【Results】 Fortyfive patients with 65 knees and 260 parts of the cartilage were totally analyzed. The arthroscopy results showed that 57 parts as Grade 0 and 203 parts as Grade 14. The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of 3D FSPGR were higher than those of 2D sequences respectively, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). 【Conclusion】3DFSPGR sequence is superior to the conventional 2D sequence in the diagnosis of knee cartilage injury, which has high clinical application value.
