Abstract 【Objective】To investigate the understanding of injection technique and patient education in clinical nurses, and compare their understandings before and after Diabetes Drug Injection Guide training. 【Methods】Randomly chosen 90 clinical nurses were enrolled in our study. A questionnaire concerning injection technique was made before and after training. The questionnaire was designed according to the Chinese guideline. 【Results】Before the training, clinical nurses had a good understanding of both the position of injection and disinfection procedures (accuracy rate above 90%). However,the clinical nurses had poor knowledge about the psychological counseling, injection routine, examination et al (accuracy rate of 7.8~73.3%), and the situation of patient education was poor (accuracy rate of 3.3~54.4%). After the training, the knowledge of clinical nurses were improved (accuracy rate after training was 30.0~87.8%,the accuracy rate before training was 27.8~74.4%,P<0.05). 【Conclusion】The training improved the understanding and grasping of injection technique among clinical nurses, and promoted the situation of patient education.
