Abstract 【Objective】 To explore the expressions of brainderived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and tyrosine kinase receptor B (TrkB) in endometrial carcinoma and analyze their clinical significances. 【Methods】 The expressions of BDNF and TrkB were detected by immunohistochemistry in normal endometrium (n=22), hyperplasia endometrium (n=32) and endometrial carcinoma (n=62). And the relationship with their clinicopathological characteristics were analyzed. 【Results】 BDNF and TrkB were negatively or weakly positively expressed in normal endometrium while positively in hyperplasia endometrium and endometrial carcinoma. And statistically significant differences existed among three groups (P<0.05). The expressions of BDNF and TrkB in endometrial carcinoma were significantly correlated with tumor cell differentiation, clinicopathologic staging, myometrial invasion and lymph node metastasis of endometrial carcinoma (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】 The interaction of BDNF with TrkB may play an important synergistic role in the occurrence and development of endometrial carcinoma.
