Abstract [Objective]To explore the expression and significance of c‐Jun activation domain binding protein 1 (Jab1) in patients with colorectal cancer .[Methods]From January 2010 to January 2014 ,98 samples of colorectal cancer tissues and adjacent normal tissues were collected and analyzed by immunohistochemistry (SP method) to de‐tect the expression of Jab1 .[Results]Jab1 had a positive expression rate of 96 .9% (95/98) in colorectal cancer tissues versus 17 .3% (17/98) in corresponding adjacent tissues .And the inter‐group differences were statistically significant ( P<0 .05) .Jab1 expression was significantly correlated with tumor cell differentiation ,depth of invasion ,TNM stage and lymph node metastasis ( P<0 .05) .However ,gender ,age or tumor size had no significant correlation ( P>0 .05) .The 1 ,3 ,5‐year survival rates of JAB1‐positive patients were 81 .0% ,49 .6% and 31 .0% versus 100 .0% ,87 .5% and 75 .0% of JAB1‐negative ones .And the differences were statistically significant ( P<0 .05) .[Conclusion]Jab1 is involved in the occurrence of colorectal cancer ,invasion and metastasis .And its expression deter‐mines the prognosis of patients with colorectal cancer .
