Abstract [Objective]To evaluate the expression of EGFL7 and microvessel density (MVD) in renal cell carcinoma (RCC) .[Methods]The expression of EGFL7 was detected by SP immuno‐histochemical technique in 63 RCC and 6 cases of normal renal tissue .Meanwhile the levels of MVD were evaluated for RCC .And dif‐ferent pathologic periods ,grade factors of RCC and the relationship of EGFL7 and MVD were analyzed .[Re‐sults]All normal renal cells were negatively stained .The positive expression of EGFL7 in tumor cells closely correlated with different pathological grades and clinical stages ( P < 0 .05) .The levels of MVD varied be‐tween different pathological grades and clinical stages ( P<0 .05) .[Conclusion]The expression of EGFL7 and MVD value are closely correlated with biological behaviors of RCC and play important roles in the process of invasiveness and metastasis .
