Abstract [Objective] To explore the correlation between homocysteine(Hcy) and inflammatory factors in patients with diabetic nephropathy(DN) .[Methods]According to DN progression ,120 patients diagnosed as type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM) in our hospital were divided into DM with normal proteinuria group(DMA group) ,early DN group(DMB proup) and clinical DN group(DMC group) with 40 patients in each group .In addition ,40 healthy people were chosen as the control group .The levels of Hcy and inflammatory factors(hs‐CRP ,TNF‐α,IL‐6) in 4 groups were detected .[Results]Compared with the control group ,the levels of Hcy and inflammatory factors in DN group were obviously increased ,and there was significant difference( P <0 .01) .With the increasing of urine proteins in DN ,the levels of Hcy ,hs‐CRP ,TNF‐αand IL‐6 were signifi‐cantly increased by degrees ,and there was significant difference( P<0 .01) .The increasing of Hcy in DN pa‐tients was positively correlated with hs‐CRP ,TNF‐αand IL‐6( r =0 .420 ,0 .461 ,0 .429 ,P <0 .01) .[Con‐clusion]Hyperhomocysteinaemia and inflammatory factors may involve in the occurrence and development of DN .Hcy may promote the occurrence and development of DN through promoting body inflammatory status .
