Abstract Objective] To explore clinical efficacy of two different methods laparoscopic total hysterectomy(TLH) and laparoscopic assisted vaginal hysterectomy (LAVH ) .[Methods]Totally 200 patients undergoing laparoscopic total hysterectomy in obstetrical and gynecological department of our hospital from Jan .2010 to Nov .2013 were selected and divided into TLH group( n=100) and LAVH group( n=100) .Operation time ,intraoperative blood loss ,postoperative anal gas passage time ,postoperative hospital stay ,the incidence and type of complications were recorded and compared between two groups .[Results] The operation time of TLH group was (126 .20 ± 8 .35)min ,which was obviously longer than that of LAVH group[(108 .03 ± 6 .58)min]( P<0 .05) .Blood loss of TLH group was (134 .08 ± 8 .36)mL ,which was obviously larger than that of LAVH group[(98 .50 ± 5 .68)mL] ,and there was significant difference( P <0 .05) . There was no significant difference in postoperative anal gas passage time ,postoperative hospital stay ,the incidence and type of complications between two groups( P>0 .05) .[Conclusion]Compared with TLH ,LAVH has higher superiority and worthy of clinical promotion .
