Abstract Objective]To explore the relationship between clinical features of infectious mononucleosis(IM ) in chil‐dren and the diversity of pathogen infection .[Methods]A total of 211 pediatric patients diagnosed as IM in our hospital were analyzed retrospectively and divided into less than 3 years old group ,3~6 years old group and 6~13 years old group .[Results] Pediatric patients with age ≤ 3 years old ,3~6 years old 6~13 years old accounted for 63 .9% , 24 .2% and 11 .9% ,respectively .The 96 patients with single pathogen infection accounted for 45 .5% ,and 108 patients with mixed pathogen infection accounted for 51 .2% ,and 7 patients with unknown pathogen accounted for 3 .3% .The symptoms of pediatric patients with mixed pathogen infection were more and even severe .After antiviral and combination therapy ,all pediatric patients were cured and discharged from hospital .[Conclusion] IM is commonly seen in children with age ≤ 3 years old .EB virus is the most common pathogen of IM in pediatric patients .The mixed pathogen infection is the majority and even severe .Combination therapy is effective for pediatric patients with mixed infection .
