Abstract Objective To assess the correlation and concordance of the results of bedside blood gas analyzer (GEM Premier 3000) and blood cell analyzer (BC-5800) for measuring hemoglobin and hematocrit with the results of central la-boratory assessed by Bland-Altman method .[Methods]Hemoglobin and hematocrit of 100 arterial blood samples were measured by Mairui BC-5800 blood analyzer and GEM Premier 3000 analyzer .The results were taken for correlation anal-ysis and Bland-Altman analysis .[Results] The correlation coefficient(r) of hemoglobin measured by two methods was 0 . 807( P<0 .01) ,and the regression equation was Y =24 .163+0 .742X .The correlation coefficient (r) of hematocrit measured by two analyzers was 0 .709( P<0 .01) ,and the regression equation was Y=8 .881+0 .635X .There was good correlation of the data between two methods .Bland-Altman analysis showed that 95% confidence intervals of either he-moglobin or hematocrit were not within clinically acceptable range .The concordance of measurements by two analyzers was unsatisfactory .[Conclusion] There is good correlation of hemoglobin and hematocrit between two methods ,but the concordance is unsatisfactory .Bedside immediate measurement can not completely substitute for conventional measure-ment .
