Abstract [Obj ective]To explore the effect of hospital-community continuous nursing model on overall function of elderly patients with COPD.[Methods]Totally 93 elderly patients diagnosed in our hospital were divided into two groups. The control group received routine nursing care, while continuous nursing group re-ceived community continuous nursing model based on conventional care.Self-rating anxiety scale(SAS)and self-rating depression scale(SDS)were used to observe the negative emotions of patients in two groups before and after treatment and the overall quality of life in continuous nursing group after treatment.[Results]The score of quality of life in continuous nursing group was (81.3± 6.4),which was markedly better than that in control group(65.8±10.3)(P <0.05).The SAS score in continuous nursing group after nursing care was (27.7±7.1),which was markedly lower than that in control group(49.6±8.4)(P<0.05).The total scores of functional scale and symptom scale in continuous nursing group were (76.8±13.4)and (23.7±8.5)% re-spectively,and those after nursing care were better than those before nursing care, and there was significant difference(P<0.05).[Conclusion]Hospital-community continuous nursing model can improve the overall life function in elderly patients with COPD and raise the quality of life of patients,so it is conducive to the cure of the disease.
