Abstract [Obj ective]To explore the selection of the indications, operation skills and clinical efficacy of ar-throscopy for the treatment of mediopatellar syndrome.[Methods]A total of 30 patients with mediopatellar syn-drome from Jan.2012 to June 2013 were treated by the complete excision of synovial fold under arthroscopy.Ly-sholm score system was used to evaluate knee joint function before operation and at the latest follow-up after oper-ation.[Results]All the 30 patients were followed up for 7 to 21months,and the average follow up time was 12 months.Compared with before operation, knee joint functions were improved obviously, and Lysholm scores were increased obviously(90.7 vs.63.2,P<0.05).Among them,29 patients were excellent and good, and 1 patient was fair. The excellent and good rate was 96.7%.[Conclusion]Mediopatellar resection under arthroscopy for the treatment of mediopatellar syndrome has advantages such as minimal invasion and rapid recovery of joint function, and can improve knee joint function effectively.
