Abstract [Obj ective]To explore the expression of excision repair cross complementing 1 (ERCC1 )and pro-tein kinase B(AKT2)in gastric carcinoma and its significance.[Methods]The expressions of ERCC1 and AKT2 in 76 cases of gastric carcinoma tissues were detected by using SP immunohistochemical method, and compared with those in 42 cases of normal gastric mucosa tissues.[Results]The expression of ERCC1 and AKT2 in gastric carcinoma tissue was located in nucleus and plasma. The positive expression of ERCC1 in gastric carcinoma tissue was obviously lower than that in normal gastric mucosa tissue, while the positive expression of AKT2 in gastric carcinoma tissue was obviously higher than that in normal gastric mucosa tissue(P<0.05).The expressions of ERCC1 and AKT2 were related with lymph node metastasis and pathological stage(P<0.05).There was no ob-vious correlation between the expression of ERCC1 and AKR2.The prognosis of patients receiving postoperative chemotherapy with negative expression of ERCC1 and AKT2 was better than that of patients with positive expres-sion of ERCC1 and AKT2.[Conclusion]ERCC1 and AKT2 are closely related with the prognosis and resistance of gastric carcinoma. The detection of the changes of ERCC1 and AKT2 is helpful to understand malignant degree of patients with gastric cancer, instruct the setting of individualized treatment protocol and assess the prognosis.
