| Clinical Application of Two Methods of Breast Reduction |

Abstract [Objective]To compare clinical efficacy of two different methods of breast reduction and to explore the indications.[Methods]Totally 3 1 patients underwent surgical treatment.Among them,1 7 patients with mid-dle and serious giant breast were operated by single vertical pedicle method,and 14 patients with mild and middle giant breast were operated by double loop method.Blood supply and circulation of nipple and areola,sensation and breast contour in two groups after operation were observed.[Results]All patients recovered well.No necrosis of nipple and areola was observed.The contour of breast was satisfactory.The volume of the resection tissue of sin-gle vertical pedicle method was obviously more than that in double loop method(P<0.05).Patients with serious giant breast were mostly operated by single vertical pedicle method(P<0.05).[Conclusion]Single vertical pedi-cle method is suitable for middle and serious giant breast,while double loop method is suitable for mild and middle giant breast.
