Abstract [Objective]To explore compare the efficacy of different doses of omeprazole for the treatment of non-varicose upper gastrointestinal hemorrhage.[Methods]Totally 128 patients with non-varicose upper gastrointestinal hemorrhage in our hospital were chosen from June 2012 to July 2013.According to random in-formed consent principle, all patients were divided into treatment group and control group with 64 patients in each group. The treatment group was given large dose of omeprazole, while the control group was given nor-mal dose of omeprazole.Clinical efficacy was compared between two groups. The changes of each index of two groups before and after treatment were recorded and analyzed.Intragastric PH and the incidence of adverse re-actions in two groups were evaluated 74h after treatment.[Results]Clinical efficacy of treatment group was better than control group(P<0.05),but the improvement of each index, intragastric PH and the incidence of adverse reaction were nearly to control group(P >0.05).[Conclusion]Large dose of omeprazole has good clinical efficacy in treating non-varicose upper gastrointestinal hemorrhage.
