Abstract [Objective]To explore the effect of transcranial magnetic stimulation(TMS)on motor function recovery of patients with unilateral spatial neglect after stroke.[Methods]A total of 60 outpatients or inpa-tients with unilateral spatial neglect after stroke were randomly divided into observation group and control group with 30 patients in each group. The observation group was treated with the joint repeated rTMS. Straight-line bisection test, line cancellation test, font copying test, clock drawing test and plane figure copy-ing test were performed before and after treatment.[Results]There was no significant difference in the degree of unilateral spatial neglect before treatment between two groups(P>0.05).After treatment, the degree of unilateral spatial neglect, movement and activities of daily living in two groups were improved obviously(P<0.05).The improvement of the observation group was markedly better than the control group(P<0.05).No obvious change was found in the control group(P>0.05).[Conclusion]The rTMS for the treatment of uni-lateral spatial neglect after stroke has significant efficacy and can improve the patient's condition of spatial neg-lect obviously.
