| Clinical Analysis of Vena Cava Filter Implantation for the Treatment of 11 Patients with Upper Extremity Deep Venous Thrombosis |

Abstract [Objective]To explore the efficacy of vena cava filter in the treatment of upper extremity deep venous thrombosis(UEDVT) .[Methods]Clinical data of 11 patients with UEDVT treated with thrombolysis after vena cava filter implantation in our hospital from July 2008 to Dec .2013 were analyzed retrospectively .[Results] All 11 patients were implanted with vena cava filter successfully .The catheters of 4 patients compli-cated with floating thrombus around the catheter were smoothly removed after thrombolysis therapy for some time ,and then the filters were smoothly removed 12d after operation .No pulmonary embolism occurred .All patients were followed up for 24 months after operation .No complications such as filter migration ,thrombosis along the filter and perforation of vena cava were found .[Conclusion]Vena cava filter implantation for the treatment of UEDVT is safe and effective ,so it is worthy of clinical promotion .
