Abstract [Objective] To explore the efficacy of individualized pain management for perioperative pain in patients with hip replacement .[Methods] Totally 90 patients with hip replacement complicated by periopera-tive pain were selected .According to the order of hospitalization ,all patients were divided into observation group and control group with 45 patients in each group .Control group was given conventional treatment , while the observation group was given individualized pain management .Visual analogue scale(VAS) pain scores and sleep time at 4h ,12h ,24h ,48h and 72h after operation were compared between two groups .The satisfaction of patients in two groups was evaluated .[Results]VAS pain scores in observation group at 4h , 12h ,24h and 48h after operation were obviously lower than those in control group ,and there was significant difference( P <0 .05) .There was no significant difference in VAS pain scores at 72h after operation between two groups( P >0 .05) .Sleep time in observation group at 4h ,12h ,24h ,48h and 72h after operation was ob-viously better than that in control group ,and there was significant difference( P <0 .05) .The satisfaction of patients in observation group was 88 .9% ,which was markedly higher than that in control group (66 .7% ) , and there was significant difference( P <0 .01) .[Conclusion] Individualized pain management can effectively alleviate perioperative pain symptoms of patients with hip replacement ,so it is of clinical significance for im-proving the satisfaction of patients and worthy of clinical application .
