Abstract [Objective] To explore clinical efficacy of interventional methods such as balloon dilation and stent placement for the treatment of diabetic foot .[Methods] Totally 35 patients with diabetic foot received interventional treatment such as balloon dilation and stent placement based on comprehensive treatment such as controlling blood glucose ,regulating lipid ,dilating blood vessels ,controlling infection and improving circula-tion .The condition changes of diseased limbs after interventional therapy were observed .[Results]All patients completed interventional therapy successfully .Immediate blood flow was improved obviously .No acute ob-struction or vascular rupture hemorrhage occurred .After the treatment for 5~7 days ,the symptoms of 15 pa-tients were relieved obviously .Ankle/brachial index(ABI) was (0 .95 ± 0 .25) ,while toe/brachial index(TBI) was (0 .56 ± 0 .12) .One patient died for postoperative sudden myocardial infarction .One patient recovered af-ter interventional therapy for acute thrombus occlusion .Among 28 patients followed up for 1 year ,12 patients (42 .9% ) had restenosis .[Conclusion] Interventional treatment for diabetic foot can effectively relief the symptoms ,delay amputation time .The short-term efficacy is good .But many kinds of factor can affect the us-age of interventional treatment .The choice of appropriate cases should be fully considered .
