Abstract [Objective]To explore the value of cervical lymph node biopsy cytology in the diagnosis of pa-pillary thyroid carcinoma .[Methods] Totally 90 cases of papillary thyroid carcinomas with lymph node metas-tasis were selected and detected by using cervical lymph node biopsy cytology .Among them ,46 patients were detected by thyroid fine needle puncture cytology .The results were compared with postoperative pathological diagnosis results .[Results]The positive rate of cervical lymph node biopsy cytology was 90 .00% (81/90) . The sensitivity of cervical lymph node biopsy cytology was 89 .13% (41/46) ,and the missed diagnosis rate was 10 .87% (5/46) .The sensitivity of thyroid fine needle puncture cytology was 36 .96% (17/46) ,and the missed diagnosis rate was 63 .04% (29/46) .There was significant difference in the sensitivity between two methods ( P <0 .05) .[Conclusion]Cervical lymph node biopsy cytology in the diagnosis of cervical lymph node metas-tasis in patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma has significant advantages ,so it is worthy of clinical promo-tion .
