Abstract [Objective] To explore the value of Phadiatop detection in the diagnosis of bronchial asthma in children .[Methods] Totally 267 patients with asthmatic suffocating pneumonia and suspected bronchial asth-ma who were detected by Phadiatop in pediatric medical center of Hunan provincial people's hospital were col-lected .The age was 2~3 years old .All patients were followed up by telephone and clinic service for 3 years . The occurrence and clinical manifestation of bronchial asthma in children were analyzed .[Results] In Phadi-atop-positive observation group( n =111) ,67 patients(60 .36% ) were bronchial asthma during follow up .In Phadiatop-negative observation group( n =156) ,29 patients(19 .59% ) were bronchial asthma during follow up .There was significant difference in the proportion of bronchial asthma between 2 groups( P < 0 .01) . There were significant differences in the incidence of recurrent asthma ,exercise-induced asthma ,hospitaliza-tion due to asthma ,asthma emergence ,allergic rhinitis ,eczema and asthma between two groups( P<0 .01) .[Conclusion] Long-term observation for Phadiatop-positive patients is of great value for the prediction and di-agnosis of bronchial asthma in children .
