Clinical Study of the Intensified Psychological Intervention after Total Hysterectomy for Allevia-ting Negative Mood and Improving Quality of Life |

Abstract [Objective]To explore the impact of the intensified psychological intervention after total hyster-ectomy for alleviating negative mood and improving quality of life .[Methods] Totally 200 patients undergoing total hysterectomy were chosen .According to admission time ,all patients were divided into two groups with 100 patients in each group .The control group was given routine nursing care ,while the observation group was given the directed psychological nursing intervention based on conventional care .Anxiety(SAS) and depression (SDS) self-rating scales were used to evaluate negative emotion .Female sexual function index(FSFI) was used to evaluate sexual function status of patients before and after intervention .[Results]After 6 months of inter-vention ,SAS(34 .38 ± 11 .26) and SDS(34 .21 ± 8 .76) in observation group were decreased significantly ,and the alleviation effect in observation group was better than control group [(40 .73 ± 11 .52) and (49 .73 ± 8 .88) , respectively ]( P <0 .05) .The total scores of FSFI and the scores of all dimensions in observation group were obviously better than control group ( P < 0 .05) .[Conclusion] Patients undergoing total hysterectomy have anxiety ,depression and other negative emotions .Psychological intervention can effectively relieve negative psychology and improve quality of life after operation .
