Abstract [Objective]To explore the efficacy of endoluminal therapy for diabetes mellitus with peripheral arterial occlusive disease(PAOD) .[Methods]Clinical data of 35 PAOD patients with diabetes mellitus treated by endoluminal therapy for 48 times were analyzed retrospectively .[Results] Endoluminal operation success rate was 97 .1% 34/35) .No one died 30d after operation .Ankle/brachial index before operation was (0 .419 ± 0 .142) which was markedly higher than that after operation (0 .741 ± 0 .158) ,and there was significant difference( P < 0 .001) .Primary patency rate at 6 months ,12 months ,24 months and 36 months was 85 .2% ,61 .9% ,54 .3% ,and 46 .2% respectively ,and .secondary patency rate was 91 .5% ,83 .1% ,70 .2%and 63 .3% respectively ,and limb preservation rate was 94 .3% ,88 .6% ,85 .8% and 82 .9% ,respectively .[Conclusion] Percutaneous endoluminal therapy for diabetic patients with PAOD has advantages such high pa-tency and few complications ,and can better remain the integrity of the affected limbs .
