Abstract [Objective]To understand the status of medication compliance of inpatients in general hospital and the influential factors of psychology and society .[Methods] Totally 607 inpatients with somatological dis-eases in our hospital from Nov .2010 to Feb .2013 were surveyed by using 5:1 complete random sampling method .General questionnaire ,Morisky-4 compliance questionnaire ,medical coping mode questionnaire(MC-MQ) ,multi-dimensional mental health locus of control scale(MHLC) ,self-rating depression scale(SDS) and self-rating anxiety scale(SAS) were used to investigate 607 inpatients .[Results] The average compliance rate of inpatients was 42% ,and that of internal medicine patients was 40 .42% ,and that of surgical patients was 43 .44% ,but there was no significant difference between internal medicine patients and surgical patients (χ2 =0 .566 ,P =0 .452) .Male patients(χ2 =4 .565) ,fewer education years (8 .97 ± 4 .48 ,t =2 .365) ,employed patients(χ2 =4 .528) and patients with the history of hospitalization (χ2 =5 .372) had even higher compliance . The scores of depression ,anxiety and avoidance in low compliance group were significantly higher than those in high compliance group( t =3 .459 ,P =0 .001;t =4 .556 ,P =0 .001 ;t =3 .983 ,P =0 .001) .The scores of psychological manipulation mode of powerful others in high compliance group were higher than those in low compliance group( t = -2 .846 ,P = 0 .005) .[Conclusion] Social influential factors associated with compli-ance of inpatients are gender ,education level ,employment status and history of hospitalization .Psychological factors associated with compliance are depression ,anxiety ,avoidance coping style and locus of control of oth-ers .
